Blue Penny Museum
The history and art museum is one of the prime elements of the Mauritian cultural scene. It displays a precious heritage collection about Mauritius and the region. The pride of the museum’s collection is two of the world’s rarest stamps: the red one-penny and blue two-pence ‘Post Office’ stamps issued in 1847.

Museum in Mahébourg

Naval Museum
The château, a 18th century building housing the museum outskirts of Mahébourg. The story of the French naval victory is displayed in the museum, along with salvaged items from the British frigate Magicienne, which sank in the battle. Some old maps and remands of shipwrecks explaining the human history of the Island.
