More than 150 years old, Eureka is a real gem to the cultural heritage of this rainbow island. Let yourself be carried away by the beauty and history behind the antique furniture and colonial architecture of the house that are as special as its magnificent garden. Stepping inside this house aged more than one and a half century is like entering another era. All the antique furniture reminds us of the Colonial life. Visit the old stone kitchen to discover the different utensils of the 1800s. Typical Mauritian food is still prepared in the traditional way, which you have the chance to savour. The romantic flora and the splendor of the tropical Nature will delight you while you wander through the park. Have a rest under the shade of a majestic conifer or at the edge of a pond embraced by rose tree, azalea, and others. Further, down in the Ravine, while walking by the river, you will discover the magnificence of the waterfalls. If you are attracted by the fresh cool water, you should not hesitate to dive and swim, or just be relaxed, sheltered, by a “Badamier” where the native birds’ singing will soothe you.
