Blue Lagoon Beach Hotel is located on the South East Coast of Mauritius in the village of Blue Bay, only 10 minutes drive from the airport and 45 minutes from Port Louis. The Hotel lies direct on the beach offers breathtaking ocean views and plenty of things to do or just sit back and relaxes in the warm atmosphere of this comfortable hotel.

Room Category

The hotel has 72 rooms of which 59 Standard rooms of 28 m² can accommodate 2 adults and a child. 13 Superior rooms (oceanfront or bay view) of 36 m² can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child or 3 adults.
All rooms have individual air-conditioning unit, International direct dialing telephone, color television (satellite dish – 15 channels), fridge upon request, private shower and toilet (bath tub/safe and hairdryer in superior rooms).

Dinning

The hotel provides 2 dinning option half board and bed and breakfast. The main restaurant names “Le Colonel” presents a vast range of culinary delights. The dining area offers American breakfast and a table d’hôte or buffet every night with themes ranging from Indian to traditional Mauritian and European cuisine. Enjoy your delicious meal and the beautiful view over the pool and the ocean. The pool bar is open the morning until mid night during the tea time from 15 to 17.30 pancakes, snacks and sandwich is served

Expedition Tour Special Offer

Expedition organizes catamarans and speedboats cruise to the Ile Aigrettes, a 5 hectare islet 100-m off blue lagoon Beach Hotel. The Islet consists of an old calcareous coral reef partially overlain by sand and soil deposits. It is an internationally important site as it was declared a nature reserve in 1965. Many of the plants found there grow nowhere else in the world.

Our comment

The Hotel has reopened in December 2004 after an extensive renovation, has improved its facilities. With the renovation the hotel services have moved up to a 3 star category.
Live music is provided by the resident band 6 nights per week, including variety shows representing the cultural blend of Mauritius such as the “Sega Show” folk songs and dance.
